Alice Lou Summers, 76
Alice Lou Rigsby Summers, 76 of West Portsmouth, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024 at SOMC Hospice. She was born March 9, 1948 in Mill Branch, Kentucky to the late Homer and Lona (Mammy) Hall Rigsby.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Michael Summers, a brother, Ebbie Rigsby, 3 sisters; Susie Mitchell, Maxine Carver and Kathy Mitchell, a grandson Brett Samuel Summers, a nephew Andy Carver and special friends; Von and Dee Hinze.
She formerly worked a South Shore Health and Rehab as a CMA, and was a beloved member of Rehoboth Mission Church.
Alice is survived by 3 sons; Leonard Michael Summers Jr., Timothy Lee Summers and James E. Summers, daughter in laws; Julie Ashley Summers and Katie O’Neal Summers, a brother, Roger Rigsby, a sister, Tammy (John) Hubbard, brother in law, Butch Carver, grandchildren; Michael Scott (Brooke Staggs) Summers, Courtnie Charles, William Ryan (Eileen) Summers, Corey Tre (McKenzie) Summers, James Patrick (Summer) Summers and Jacob Thomas (special friend Emily) Summers, great grandchildren; Bethany Ann, Skyler Marie, Lilyanna Rose Adalynn Renee, Briar Rose, Jaxson Samuel, Michael Ryder, Allison Kate and Ira Beckett Summers, Grayson Stricklett and Bragan Staggs, nieces and nephews; Renee (Henry) Roe, Nick Harvey, Johnda Lafferty, Eddie (Rhonda) Carver, Kim (Steve) Galloway, Lynn (Jason) Chaffin, Charlene Carver, Brenda (Dustin) Pressler, Casey (Renee) Rigsby, Roy (Ashley) Rigsby, Lynn (John ) Nichols along with many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her sisters in Christ; Susie Stall, Ann Dissinger, Penny Ward, Janey Johnson, Kathy Skaggs, Cathy Lute, Barb Waller and Juanita Simpson.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday April 23, 2024 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Ray Matheny and Dan Thompson officiating, Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery at Stout.
